Etiology

  • Typically GNRs, from ascending urinary tract infxn
  • Sometimes obstruction/anatomic predisposition
  • Less common from hematogenous spread (e.g. Staph bacteremia)

Symptoms

  • Urinary frequency/urgency if concomitant cystitis
