Etiology

  • Fusobacterium

Symptoms

  • F
  • C
  • Sweats
  • Severe illness
  • Starts as sore throat, may improve over few days, then worsens
  • Pain also lateral neck
  • Sob/cp if septic pulm emboli

Physical Exam Findings

  • Febrile
  • Pharyngeal inflamation
  • Warmth and pain over lateral neck
